Have you been looking for the best over ear headphones for your Ipod, Itouch, Blackberry, Zune, Laptop or any electronic device? What about the best around ear headphones for your PSP or Nintendo DS? Well, there is a single pair of headphones that can do all of that and more. That pair is the Bose around-ear headphones. (Amazon for more information)
If you have not found a good pair of headphones yet, you should definitely read ahead.
I have had these headphones for the last few years, and I have never been disappointed. The headphones fit quite snugly on your head although at times it might be a little tight. However, they fit well and do not fall off easily. The sides are adjustable so that you can change it to fit your size. They are really light and easy to transport because they come in a soft case. They also come with a few other useful accessories that I will mention later.
The sound quality is amazing. The most impressive part is the low midrage/bass reproduction. The sound is precise and feels fully represented, unlike most headphones which are extremely tinny sounding and do not reproduce low range sounds. They use Bose’s acoustic technology which alters the sound so that it brings out specific audible sounds that enhance the signal. I personally do not like this technology in a car (my mother’s car stereo is Bose) but for headphones it is awesome. The treble and high range sounds are also well demarcated. The sound quality is sharp and bright but also with resounding bass and midrange to balance it out.
On an Ipod, the headphones work great. Even with the small stereo amplifier from the Ipod, the headphones were able to output at a high volume and still produce a great sound. The sound reproduction is really dynamic and you can tell even from the Ipod. And the Bose acoustic technology really works great with low quality signals, such as the radio or an MP3 that is of low quality.
I also have used the headphones with my laptops and they do a great job from them. Its basically the same as the Ipod/portable music player with some increased amplification power. They are also great for computer games, video games and movies.
The headphones come with an extension cord and also a 1/4″ stereo plug adaptor which allows you to plug into a TV, stereo or home theatre receiver. Its nice that they decided to package it together instead of making you pay extra like most headphones. When connected to the receiver, the power is greatly amplified. I was playing Xbox 360 and the surround sound reproduction is also pretty great. Its not representative of having an actual 7.1 system but you can definitely interpret forward, behind, left and right. The same goes for movies – the surround is noticeable.
Overall, the Bose around-ear headphones are a great pair of headphones. If you are looking for a good pair, check them out. If not, there are plenty of other headphones that should suit your needs.

I actually got a pair of earphones which have similar features to these ones. They have brilliant sound quality and the amplification is really good. Whenever i listen to my music i feel like the artist is standing right next to me playing his song. Another bonus is the comfort. They are so comfortable i barely ever feel that im wearing them. They slip right into my ears, and then i just forget all about them. They are hoestly a really good pair. Here is where i got them – Earphones
Over ear headphones are great!
