Alright Nets fans…..I think it’s time to give up on the season. We only have 72 games left, and this season cannot be over quicker. I know I’m being over dramatic and slightly harsh, but the combination of injuries, poor coaching, and horrid play of the remaining players have made most Nets fans want to root for anyone but the Nets. Is there anything good that can come from this season. YES!
If the Nets are bad enough this season (not a far stretch), they might have a shot at getting the number one pick in the draft next year. That might be the catalyst in the Nets attempt to get King James. Think about it. The Nets will be playing in a new arena no matter what, either in Brooklyn or in the Prudential Center in Newark. They will have a great young core in Lopez, Harris, Douglas-Roberts, Terrence Williams, and the number one pick. They will also have more cap room than any other team in the NBA. Hopefully, they’ll also have a new young coach such as Mark Jackson. These combination of factors hopefully will be enough to induce two or three high-caliber free agents such as Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, or the like to join the young and run Nets.
Watch out Donnie Walsh and the Knicks. Lebron James is coming to the Nets.
