I’m going to talk about a few of the best Macbook accessories that are out there for video, audio, gaming, entertainment, pictures and anything else. There are certainly a whole bunch but there are definitely a few that really stand above the others that anyone should have. I am also including a few links so that you can check the products out on Amazon.
1. Mini DVI –> HDMI Cable – This is a small adaptor you attach to the Macbook that lets you output video to an HDMI cable (you have to purchase this separately). You can adjust the output resolution all the way up to 1080P. The link I included actually does have an HDMI cable packaged in it. This is great for watching movies on a home theatre or TV or for slideshows and presentations.Premium Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter with 10 ft HDMI cable
2. Macbook Digital Audio Out Cable – This cable outputs digital audio in through an optical audio cable that you can plug into a home theatre or receiver. This is great for watching movies via the computer’s DVD player or movie files. Its really easy to set up; much easier than using my HP laptop. You just plug it in and it automatically outputs digital audio in the most available source. If there is no digital audio, it just outputs regular audio but the cable is a much higher quality than a regular audio cable. I couldn’t find a link for Amazon for this one.
3. Mini DVI to VGA – This cable allows you to output your Macbook’s video to a computer monitor that uses the VGA input. This is good if you use your Macbook in your office often and want a bigger display to work with. You also have to buy a VGA cable with it. I use one of these to attach my Macbook to a nice monitor.
4. My Passport for Mac – This is one accessory I can’t live without. It’s a USB powered hard drive; it draws all of its power from the USB cable and does not require an external power cord. It is small and easy to transport wherever you want to go. They even have different capacities – mine is 500 gb and I paid $150 for it last year. The 500 GB edition is now $109 on Amazon. This is a great deal and I have had no problems with the hard drive – it has been quick and reliable and fits into my laptop case. Something you cannot live without.
5. Bose Over-Ear Headphones – No laptop is complete without a set of headphones. The Bose Over-Ear Headphones is a great accessory for your laptop. They are exponentially better than the Macbook’s speakers and for their price, they are extremely precise. They deliver well on both the low end of the frequency range and the high end so that they are ideal for anything you listen to – a movie, TV show, music or video gaming.
6. Extended Macbook Ram – I haven’t personally purchased this yet, but this will be my next purchase for my Macbook. I have 2 GB of RAM and I want to upgrade to 4 GB because of the increased speed. This is the type of RAM that will fit into my Macbook (Early 2008 White Macbook) but it might be different for your laptop. You would have to look it up. A good website is ifixit.com. They tell you which RAM fits your particular Mac.

Yeah, thats true. A lot of cheap ones are just as good as the Monster cables.
Nice Post although wire aren’t my kind of accessories. I find back packs cases sleeves mice keyboards all that stuff to be good accessories but you are 100 percent right on the WD hard drive a must need for any laptop or computer.

Does anybody have any encounter with the Philips MC235B Flat Wall Mountable Micro Shelf Program I was thinking about getting it and just wasn’t certain if its the very best a single to purchase.

If you do not have these fast connectors on your new purchase it is going to be more difficult to sell down the road as more USB 3.0
