The Nets feel that Brook Lopez desrves all star consideration. I beg to differ with that assessment, Brook is out of shape. He can not run up and down the court with any quickness at all. Lopez has ponderous moves in the pivot. Brook has no consistency with any shot beyond six feet. Lopez is a poor passer out of the pivot.
Brook is a defensive liability. He plays no post defense and often fails to box out. Lopez does not help out when a teamate is beaten to the basket. His third quarter performance on Saturday evening against Okur was a disgrace. Okur can not drive but vs. Lopez he looked like Dwayne Wade. Lopez is also a cry baby of the highest magnitude. Robin Lopez is the brother with potential. Brook and Yi need to get in to N.B.A. shape and Prokohorov should hire a tutor to teach them basic low post fundamentals. Lopez might be an all star in the D-League.
