    I agree with you about the first reason (viruses). I myself moved to Ubuntu Karmic after Conficker infected my Windows installation.

    All that I’m missing now is Nokia PC Communicator Suite.

    Yes, there is antivirus software for Linux. (Although you can certainly do without it).

    ClamAV is an open-source antivirus: http://www.clamav.net/

    BitDefender also has an antivirus for Unix-like operating systems.
