24 Season 6 went off to a great start, then kind of fell off the last two episodes due to the lack of exciting action and suspense that had been in the previous episodes. However, last night’s episode of 24, episode 7, was much better than episodes 5 and 6 before it. This episode had much more action and suspense. But it also signifies a substantial change in the direction of the show. Keep reading to find out more.

The most awesome scene in 24 last night was when Jack Bauer, after being stabbed by Renee, pulled out the knife and threw it in the Russian’s neck. In what seemed like an impossible feat, Jack is able to do it. This is the kind of action we are looking for in 24. The last two episodes were so boring. Nothing happened that was exciting. In fact, the 5th episode ended just after a suspenseful event was resolved! (When the guy Renee was with was killed but Vladimir chose to not shoot Renee)

Last night, Jack allowed himself to be captured by the Russians while still playing the undercover role of the weapons buyer, Mir. This signifies a major change in the show. The show is moving further and further away from the CTU and government counterterrorism units and is moving more into Jack’s territory and going off the record. In fact, Brian Hastings and the team at CTU was barely featured in the episode save for the end and for the stupid side story with Dana Walsh and her delinquent ex boyfriend. Every minute that they spend on that, they lose 100,000 viewers on the show.

Other than the knife throw and Jack being captured, there was not much action. The stupid Dana Walsh side story actually caused me to want that action to end and the convict ex boyfriend to be caught so it would be over. People at the office are starting to pick up on her, so hopefully that will be over soon.

So, its very slowly getting better. Hopefully next week it will pick up even more. Do you think its getting better? Let me know!
