Will The Snow Ever End?

The northeast has been pounded by snow over the last two weeks. This has been one of the worst February’s in terms of snowfall in recent years.

Two weeks ago, when I was in NJ, we had about 8 inches of snow in my part of the state. It made travelling nearly impossible. Five days later, and the snow was back for more. Most parts of NJ, NYC, and Long Island received anywhere from 12-18 inches over a 24 hour period. Now today, actually since last night, out on Long Island, we’ve had about another 2-3 inches already, and it’s still snowing.

This weather has been nuts. Even down in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C., they’ve been getting pounded by the Winter byproduct. Shoveling is awful. Even the people who are lucky enough to have a snow blower have been spending hours outside clearing off their driveways and side walks. Our cars are disgusting due to salt trucks salting more of our cars then the road. Everyone is sick. Parking is atrocious. With the exception of the one day off from school, nothing positive has come from this weather.

Spring is about 5-6 weeks away. I’ve never looked forward to Spring as much as I am right now. Warmer weather, sunny skies, and no gray slushy snow covering the grass.

How have you been handling this terrible weather?
