Apple began its presale of the Apple iPad and within 2 hours, it had already sold 50,000 devices. Unbelievable. Apple can shit on a plate, call it iTurd, and sell it for 2 large.
Apple seriously can do no harm. Due to all of the iPad hype, Apple stock soared this week, to an all time high of almost $227 a share. Once again, unbelievable. No one has actually touched the product (besides a select few insiders) yet everyone is ready to shell out their hard earned dollars for it, even in this devastating economy.
The iPad will probably be really cool even though its specs are disappointing in certain areas. Would I buy it right away (or at all). Not right way away…..I’ll wait for a few weeks/months until some of the kinks are ironed out in the OS and hardware, and additionally, until the price drops some more. How are you feeling about the Apple iPad?

I don’t think the price will ever go down. But I’m with you as far as waiting. Although it’s hard to do with all the excitement surrounding the iPad, the best option is to always wait for the 2nd generation of anything Apple. Like you said, they will get the kinks worked out and will hopefully listen to consumers and make a few changes.
Yeah their 2nd generation is always better, but I still think the Ipad is a huge disappointment. I was expecting something awesome and intuitive, not just a big Iphone minus the phone.

Anyway, the main reason to get an iPad is simply to say you have an iPad.
You’ll easily be able to get twice the features at half the cost with other tablets.
