Lost Season 6 Episode 7 aired last night on ABC and the story continues to develop. Despite only having 16 episodes this season, Lost continues to surprise everyone. Last night, someone made a big surprise return at the end of the episode, a return I have been anticipating for quite some time. Keep reading my review of Lost to see what I am talking about.
Last night, Charles Widmore made his big return to the island since it moved at the end of the fourth season. He originally had sent his team of commandos there to take over the island. He was absent the entire 5th season and now has made his big return. Why is he there? Does he still want to take over the island? And where is Desmond and Penny? Are they with him? We haven’t seen Desmond this season since the beginning when he was on the plane in the alternate universe. But does Widmore know about Jacob? There really was not any mention of Jacob back in the beginning or back then. Except for, of course, Christian, who showed up with Claire.
We found out that there are 6 candidates. Now, we knew this before but it had not been confirmed until tonight. One of the candidates will be taking over for Jacob but no one has any idea exactly what he does. What really does Jacob do. Is he just the caretaker of the island? Or does he have another role, perhaps one more important?
And the alternate universe is so tied together to the regular universe. We saw the return of Alex to the show in the alternate universe as one of Ben’s students. Sun finally saw Hugo and Jack again for the first time in a long time. And Richard wants to die? He has always been one of the constant factors in the show. Why would he want to die? Even though he has spent a really long time on the island, he feels like he was betrayed or it was in vain because Jacob is now dead. Jack, however, proved to Richard that he was supposed to be saved too and couldn’t die because he too was touched by Jacob.
So, thats my recap of Lost Season 6 Episode 7. I’d love to hear what you think about the episode. Let me know!

I don’t think Jack was ever touched by Jacob. I just think that since Jacob has been watching Jack for his entire life, brought him to the island, and let him come back after leaving, Jacob/destiny wouldn’t let him just die in vein. He’s there for a purpose.
I thought when he handed him the candy bar, he also touched his shoulder?

You are both fools. Jack can die, he just cant kill himself. Just like black Michael couldn’t kill himself in whatever season that shit happened in
Thats what I meant. THanks for pointing it out Crimest!
Does “touched” have to refer to physically touching? Someone can touch another’s life, you know, affect it somewhat. Just a little twitch in timing, in thought, it can register like a blink.
That’s also an interesting idea. What makes you think of that? He only handed Jack a candy bar, hardly what I consider “touched.”
