Lost has been getting better. I cannot complain anymore. Questions are being answered. Action is beginning to pick up and intensify. All is well on the land of the island. Read more to find out what I think is going to happen in Season 6 of Lost.
Lost Season 6 Episode 7 last night was sickkkkkk. I’ve become a fan of these side flashes because they remind me a lot of season 1′s original flashbacks. We’re delving more into the complexities of each character, and are learning that for the most part, people are people no matter what universe they are in. It’s hard for a person to change who they are. Or is it…. Last night, we learned about “Dr. Linus.” Ben’s character was once again, even in the alternate universe, planning a take over / power move towards the principal of his school. But we saw Ben take a step back and rethink his plot when he learned that he would be screwing over Alex. On the island, Ben was willing to sacrifice Alex on the island. But in the parallel universe, he was not. We also saw Ben caring for his father, whereas on the island, Ben killed his father. We did learn however that even in the parallel universe, Ben and his father were in the Dharma initiative and on the island. We don’t know why they left though….
Jack had some interesting scenes with Richard. We learned that Richard doesn’t age or can’t kill himself because Jacob “touched him.” Kind of creepy. Jack realized that he couldn’t die easily either because Jacob had plans for him. Nice.
I was a big fan of episode 6′s last action scene where Locke/Man in Black/Nemesis/Smoke Monster wreaked havoc on the temple. It was full of crazy action and reminded me why I love Lost. It can offer great dialogue, awesome philosophical thoughts, and at the same time, can provide ridiculous action.
So who do I think will win the candidacy? I’m going to go with Jack, just because he always took the leader role and has adapted over time. Even though he was always stubborn, he always tried to do what was best for the group.
I still think Desmond is going to come back and play a major role. I think, even in the parallel universe, he knows what’s going on. After all he is the “constant.” But at the same time, Farraday last season saying that he focused so much on the constant that he forgot about the variables, people. So I’m not even sure where this will lead us. But I’m uber excited and you should be to!
