Most of you after reading the title of this article must think that I am ready to buy myself a new vehicle. Those of you who really know me know that I have no money and am a broke law school student. But recently, my friend told me that she is looking to purchase a new vehicle, and that got me thinking…..If I were to purchase a new car today (or within the next few weeks) what would it be?

I have always been a diehard Corvette fan. Since I was a little kid, I’ve always wanted a Vette. From its 430+ horsepower engine, removable top, and seductive body, the Corvette has been the car for me. But is it practical? Negative. It only has 2 seats, and is rwd, meaning snow driving is not an option. If I had a second beater car to accompany the Vette, I’d get it, otherwise, I might consider something else…..

The upcoming 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 is on the horizon. 400+ hp, 4 seats, Ford Sync, and more make the car a great daily driver. But by the time I’m done outfitting a loaded 5.0, I basically could have a Vette already….

What if I’m in the mood for luxury. There’s always the Infiniti G37. My dad has the G35 sedan. You can get a fully loaded, 336hp beast, with AWD, a Bose stereo, nav, and more, for around 37k. For another 2 grand or so, I could get the coupe for sportier driving (or even the hardtop convertible).

Then there are the Bimmers. I could go with a 135i coupe, which is basically a 300 hp engine and nothing else, or I could go with a 3 series coupe or sedan for more comfort.

In the 25k-45k price range, your choice are limitless. I get anxiety just thinking about my choices. What would you get?
