Dear Mr. Johnson, Mr. Tannenbaum, and Mr. Ryan,

Why are you screwing around with arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. The man isn’t a shut-down cornerback, he is THE SHUTDOWN cornerback. He deserves a contract that is commensurate with his past performance.

Why did the Jets give Ferguson a new monstrous deal when his numbers are pedestrian at best? The Jets are around 10 days away from the start of camp, and the Jets and Revis seem to be at a standstill.

What do I think is going to happen? The Jets are going to trade Revis away. Why do I think this? Because the Jets are the cheapest team in football. Yes, they’ve spent money this offseason, but they never spend it where it counts. People think that the Jets made a great move by signing Cromartie and drafting Wilson. I believe the only reason they signed these two players is because they think that Revis won’t settle for less than $15 million, and they do not want to pay that.

Revis should not play next season no matter what without a new guaranteed contract. If Revis is halfway intelligent, he’ll remind the Jets what happened to Leon Washington. He was the “bigger man” and played without a new contract. He suffered a devastating injury. At the end of the season, the Jets traded him. I don’t think Revis wants this to happen to himself as well.

The biggest farce is that Woody Johnson is threatening to blackout some of the Jets’ home games because the PSL’s aren’t sold out yet. ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME? Has Johnson forgotten that the citizens of NJ helped build the Jets’ new home in the Meadowlands? It’s bad enough we paid for that, now he’s threatening to take the games away from us?
