Online Bingo in the UK

Are there many options for online bingo in the UK? Since we post from the USA, we don’t typically look overseas for online bingo and other online gambling venues. Especially not from a smartphone. However, there are a ton of readers from England, so we have to try to include some info for them as well, since we’ve posted about stuff here before. One of the online options to play bingo on iPhone and Android is the website paddypower.com.

There are other sites as well – such as whichbingo, foxybingo, bingopower, meccabingo and bingoport. There are a ton of options to consider. Online bingo has become much more popular in the last couple of years. Although I originally thought that online gambling provided a lot of security concerns, it looks like most of this is protected by secure, encrypted sites, similar to when you log into your bank or your credit card account.

There are other options if you don’t want to spend any real money. Games.com has a lot of free online gambling games like bingo, blackjack, poker, texas hold em and others. Bingo Zone has free prizes for online bingo as well.

In terms of mobile, Android has a few options like Bingo Heaven, but none are for pay. It isn’t supported on Google Play unfortunately most likely due to revenue issues.

If you are in the UK and interested in checking out bingo on your mobile, check out paddypower.com

The Engadget Show April 21, 2011

On April 21, 2011, we took a trip into New York City to see the taping of the latest episode of The Engadget Show. This was the twentieth episode of The Engadget Show, and was the first episode since the mass exodus of Engadget writers and editors (See, i.e., Josh Topolsky, Nilay Patel, Paul Miller, Joanna Stern, Chris Ziegler, Ross Miller). The aforementioned journalists left Engadget after AOL, Engadget’s parent company, acquired The Huffington Post, and subsequently named Arianna head of AOL’s online media division. Engadget immediately named Tim Stevens as Editor-in-Chief, and Darren Murph as Managing Editor. Can these gentlemen follow in the footsteps and provide the same level of informative entertainment as their predecessors? Will The Engadget Show live on, or will it fade away like your favorite Nokia 5100 series device? Read on to find out…
